I scheduled a pick up of a sectional sofa. The couch was in excellent condition, barely used as it was basement furniture. There was one highlighter mark on the back of the couch smaller than a dime. I'd submitted photos prior to and had been approved for donation. The two individuals that came to pick it up refused to take it stating it didn't meet guidelines. I love this store I got a tv and a night stand and they work great and look great to. They were very nice and even helped me load it in my car. I’m definitely going back when I need something
The store has totally gone down hill. Walk in and look around. This is a thrift shop, not Sears, not even Walmart. We would make pretty hefty purchases and donated all the time. Now, I'd rather spend a few extra dollars and buy brand new, rather pay high prices for second hand housewares. The staff is not friendly at all, and lie. My last visit to Middletown location, the new lady behind the counter wanted to charge $3.00 each for a set of 4 drinking glasses, $12.00 for the set. For a place that gets things for free, they have horrible prices. Charging 50 dollars for a small painting that looks like it came from a 2000 magazine Charging 200 for a couch that was ripped up and has the wood exposed Charging 20 dollars for a shower seat while the original price is still there for only 10 dollars ( on sale) Plus the employees are very rude and always give people the most disapproving looks.
