I have been here 3 times in the past 2 months for scheduled surgeries for my mom and the nurses, in particular, are stellar. They take the time to explain what they are doing, are thorough, and gentle. My mom especially appreciated the warm blankets they supply her with because she is easily chilled.
My surgery was scheduled for tomorrow (12/20). Reston Surgery Center contacted me earlier today (12/19) and canceled claiming their HVAC system went down this morning. What kind of surgery center doesn't have a redundant or backup HVAC system? Three days of pre-surgery prep wasted. Money spent on pre-op meds (not covered by insurance) -- wasted. Took time off from work for the procedure and recovery -- wasted.
Do not go to this facility! My 12 year old daughter went in for surgery and they gave her too much anesthesia and she stopped breathing. She has to be rushed to the hospital and could have died. Then they charged my insurance 13,000 dollars for 10 minutes in their facility, plus charged my credit card $400 after we told them we don’t have a copayment. Been trying to call billing for 2 weeks but no one answers their phone. Total scam and very irresponsible
