Members of the Restlawn Alliance of South Dakota are seeking resolution to problems regarding Restlawn Memory Gardens south of Huron, including failure to receive pre-paid markers and poor upkeep of the cemetery. Finally got a few answers.. none of which were good! Short version.. I have the owners number.. not that that did me any good as he doesn't return calls. Called the monument company and found out my mom's marker has been ordered.. but Restlawn has not paid them... so it can't be completed! Grrr! Absolutely heartless and ridiculous. Losing someone is hard enough, without adding deadbeat dishonest businesses on top of it. Someone mentioned a class action already in place? Can someone pass me info?

When I person is grieving the death of a loved one, one should not have to fight for what they paid for. My Mother passed away in March and my parents had everything paid for at Restlawn and Welter's Funeral Home. Restlawn has been horrible to work with. They still have not put a marker or stone on her grave, which has been paid for. My husband and I were thinking of buying our lots out there, but NEVER would I now!!! My mother has been gone 6 months and the grave stone is still not in. I spoke with a person who's wife has been gone a year and still does not have a stone. This is totally unacceptable and heartless.
