Booked in error and cancelled the booking within 5 minutes of the original booking and was charged �20. The restaurant hasn’t even bothered to respond. RIP off, won’t be dining here
I'd had Restaurant263 on my list to try since I moved back to Leicester and I'm happy to say it didn't disappoint. I went for their "mid-week treat/Pre-Theatre" menu as I couldn't stay too long on this visit. This is 3 courses for �28 (and is offered on Wednesdays and Thursdays only), but this also includes a small amuse bouche and bread with flavoured butter. We've eaten here a few times now, and it's clear that they've found their feet and are turning out inventive, delicious dishes. There's a choice between six or eight course menus, being either meat/fish or vegan. I've always eaten the vegan menu but been with meat eaters at times. The courses are fabulous, and vegan ones no less so in terms of flavours. You can have matching wine flights, or buy drinks you like. The food was amazing!!!!!! Honestly this place shows that Michelin star food does not have to be pricey. We had the afternoon set menu and it was cheap!!! If I had to rate cost to food ratio this has to be the best I've had. The chef delivered each dish and explained what we were having. Definitely would go again.
