Delicious! The Toro (fatty tuna) nigiri is expensive but worth it given the high quality. I believe it was $12/piece but no regrets. King Salmon and Negi Toro was also tasty. The regular salmon was about what you’d expect and priced accordingly. I hope I can visit again before leaving the area. Yum. Note that while I got a few higher dollar items, there were many reasonably priced items / specials on the menu. You can have a tasty lunch for less than I spent.
As a long-time regular of Yamaguchi, I am incredibly disappointed to share that the restaurant has completely lost its soul. Since the original Japanese owner and head chef retired, the quality has plummeted. It is clear that the new management team has no grasp of the standards that made this place special.
