We have wanted to visit Story for quite some time and finally made it for dinner. The food was good and we enjoyed the wine pairing (one of the dessert wines was exceptional). The concept of there being a Story seems to have gotten a little bit lost: I left none the wiser as to what the story really was. It was a lovely evening and I would still highly recommend dinner here, but I would not expect to be wowed by a unique, story led fine dining experience.
What an incredible experience. Beautiful restaurant, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and absolutely delicious food. It's a really great experience from start to finish, each dish has a story and the team make it so much fun. Well worth a visit.
Hits and misses in my opinion. Food was cooked well and tasted good as you’d expect but a few of the courses were underwhelming- the bread was dry almost stale and I don’t think Caesar dressing works at all with lamb and a rich meat jus. I didn’t like the creamy / richness of the potato course but my husband did so that could just be me! Sommelier was 10/10 - knowledgable and friendly. An exceptional dining experience from beginning to end. There are occasions when a meal transcends simply eating out and becomes something genuinely memorable; this was certainly one of them.
