Overpriced with terrible management. This was my first time returning to the restaurant since the renovation. The new interior is chic but lifeless. They eliminated all semblance of its previous gorgeous interior. The menu featured very expensive fine dining options (the prices do not initially seem high until you look at the portions). We ordered the scallops which were $32 and the side plate arrived with three tiny scallops in a thick paste/sauce. An absolute gem in the Cowichan Valley. The newly reopened restaurant delivers a truly elevated menu, paired perfectly with their exceptional wines and beautifully crafted cocktails. The staff is kind and attentive. The space is equally impressive, with tasteful interior.

Exceptional food and even better hospitality. We arrived from Los Angeles travel worn with two exhausted little ones and were welcomed with genuine warmth “unreasonable hospitality” at its best. Really appreciated all the details. The Charme de l’lle was fantastic and showed me how special Vancouver Island wine is. Now we need to return, taste more, and stock up and share with friends and family.

What a terrible and disappointing experience... had a reservation for 2:30 and arrived promptly on time. Was seated by a very nice host and then... nothing. 15 minutes go by, then 20, finally around then I flag a server down to please ask our server to come over. She said "oh I guess I could take your order." We asked for wine advice, nothing, she wasn't aware of tasting notes or any detail (good to note the menu lists none of these things, at a WINERY).
