Booked a last minute trip to Hilton with Vacasa for September 11th at the Breakers. On August 24st we found out my husband has kidney cancer and needs to have surgery. I contacted customer service to check about cancelling our trip and we were told they could not give us any type of refund. I offered to provide them a letter/proof from his doctor and we were willing to pay a booking fee, but again was told they could not help us. Do not rent from Vacasa. I went on a business trip and there was not working internet or TV at the rental. I answer phones and enter reservations so I was unable to do work from my room. Instead I had to leave. I spent 16 hours there mostly fighting with someone to get the internet going- then sleep. I left so airbnb was good and returned my 2 nights' pay, but vacasa refused to refund the night and fees so we paid over $350 for 16 hours of a living nightmare. This was our second trip to HHI. We stayed in Island Club 3502. The condo we stayed in was horrible. Guest bed room was tiny, horrible lighting, no drawers at all for storage, no private bath, furnishings were ancient, rusty balcony tables and chairs, cigarette holes in sofa. We had to move a lamp on the bedside table out of the room to make space we needed, and the cord for the lamp on the other side of the bed was not long enough to plug in. NEVER AGAIN WITH VACASA! Vacasa is the best rental agency by far. They are always available by phone. Very courteous and helpful. Work with you on every angle I will always book with them
Never book with these folks - Vacasa. Arrived at our Hilton Head condo Saturday. Came into mold and rust on the front door. Weather strip hanging off also. The vertical blinds for the sliding door will not work and 11 vertical slats are missing. So absolutely no privacy. Still as of Tuesday evening the blinds are still busted. Mold on the base boards, big stains on the carpet from pets, bathroom sink no stop and cannot adjust water temperature, dirt on walls, window molding broken, hole in the couch, bugs and dirt in the bat... read more
