I’ve been fortunate to travel and stay in Marriott hotels on a monthly basis, all around the world. Without question, my most recent experience at the residence Inn in New York and specifically with Axel has been a once in a lifetime experience.axel is Has been one of a kind. To be Frank, my experience at the hotel itself was slightly above average, but he made it perfect with his willingness to go above and beyond and display a level of compassion and professionalism that I’m not sure I’ve ever seen. Axel, thank you.
Fantastic location but small rooms. But with a great view! Also we had booked the room for the kitchenette and the cooker didn't work at all during our stay. Lifts also sometimes took time. Reception staff wasn't very cordial and seemed arrogant and blunt at times. Including the bellman. Surprising to see this attitude from Mariott staff and it wasn't one employee but most of them.
