Not the best check in experience. We asked if it was possible to check in early and was “pleasantly” reminded check in time was 4pm (also kind of a late check in policy btw). Room smelled terrible as well.

The hotel had a great atmosphere. It was clean and cozy. The staff was very friendly from the front desk to the housekeepers to the maintenance staff.

Parents Beware – Serious Safety Concern at Marriott Residence Inn Charleston/Mount Pleasant ⚠️ We stayed here for a softball tournament because it was listed as a “recommended hotel” on grouphousing.net, and I feel it’s important to warn other parents. While our girls were swimming at the pool, an older intoxicated man stood at the gate watching them and appeared to be recording them on his phone. We booked this hotel for a softball tournament and our experience was extremely disappointing. We originally reserved from Friday through Sunday but added Thursday. The first room we were given had no working AC. Maintenance came up, but due to a language barrier we weren’t able to explain the issue, and we were eventually moved to another room.
