Residence Inn Marriott Cumberland-Galleria has a pest control problem. Even after fumigating my room, I had bites. There could be bed bugs. I asked if they had any bed bug inspections and corrective actions and the hotel manager got very defensive. I moved to a different place.

We have two rooms here at the hotel and last night one of the rooms was getting HOT with the AC not working; we called down to the front desk and Jalen was a miracle worker. He was kind, patient, helped us get into a new room and they all slept far more comfortably. He was also there when I checked in - with a smile and a kindness about him. We had a really disappointing experience during our stay. We booked a king room but were given a queen room instead, which was already frustrating since we did not receive the room type we reserved. On top of that, there was an extremely bright flashing light in our room that went off every few minutes throughout the entire night. This was not a small blinking light from an electronic device—it lit up the entire room every time it flashed. We got essentially no sleep because of it.
