Avoid this company at all cost. Republic Services is the worst business I have ever deal with. After being over 10 years of loyal customers, republic services all the sudden decided to charge overage fee ($88 per container) even we did not have more trash than we always had. Their account rep initially waived some of overage the first month and then she decided not to respond to email or phone call. And, they continued to charge over $700 of overage fee a month. I’m currently on hold going on for 2 hours now with the fifth time calling since July. I recently purchased a house and upgraded to the 96gallon bin (there was a 45 on site from previous owners), I’ve been told repeatedly “oh they’ll be out this date. They’ll be out this date” it’s October. I was last told it’ll be out AGAIN yesterday.
***** Update***** changed from 1 star to 3 stars after We were contacted by the corporate and they made it right by us. Refunds were issued for all the overcharges and the service bill is reviewed to reflect the agreement we signed. While the corporate is dong well when it comes to customer care, the local office I believe needs improvement, they never bothered to contact us.
