So...missed pickups of trash and recycling are caused by a worker strike. There's an obvious solution. Negotiate in good day and start paying your workers a wage comparable to the wages you pay to your workers in nearby locations. Service from Republic has always been overpriced. Share some of your profits with the people who earn those profits for you! Like many others I used River City's services happily for years. Republic has been a rip-off since Day One. Edit: week 8 the strike is over and they finally remembered my garbage. No credit for missed pickups though. Picked up 1.5 times in 8 weeks So the last 4 weeks republic have picked my garbage up a total of 0.5 times. Week 1: no garbage pick up but get a message saying next week put all the garbage and whatever extra out and they will take it. Week 2: I put two cans of garbage out and republic take one and leave the other completely full. Week 3: same as week one, they sent a message saying they will get us next week. Week 4:... read more
I would not recommend them to anyone they're constantly missing or not showing up they're terrible at returning calls customer service is non-existent
I wish I could give this service zero stars. Inconsistent pick up times and missed a few weeks recently. You have to call ahead for a big pick up, but only through Thursday at noon, or you're SOL. We get two extra bags. Previous drivers have ignored those. This week our cans were knocked over and screwed up. They were just left that way. Poor customer service and seems like a majority of their drivers are LAZY. I wish we could get on any other service. We only ended up with this after they bought out the other.
They've been here twice the last 5 weeks, show up last Tuesday and only take 1 of my 2 garbage cans. Unbelievable....
