I want to preface this review by saying this is entirely about Republic Services’ underhanded business practices and does not reflect on their route drivers who have generally been reliable. I know this list is long, but in three years they’ve accumulated a lot of reasons to avoid doing business with them, such as: 1. Your rates will significantly increase every year on the anniversary of setting up service, but you won’t find out until you get the "annual" invoice. 2. Over double the price of Arrow Waste and they charge an $85 bin delivery fee and $102 bin removal fee. Absurd pricing.
Followed a truck on the highway with a very scared raccoon on the top (funny, yes) but I grew concerned as an animal lover. I don’t know if these get dumped aggressively or if they get put right into an incinerator (I don’t know, I don’t work in the trash field.) I had hoped there was a number to call in hopes to save this guy’s life. If I could give a 0 I would! Republic is not reliable when it comes to picking up the trash on time. We live in a mobile home park and have to use Republic. The past month they have either not picked up at all or they are way behind! Not just that but the drivers break the dumpsters and don't care and don't replace the dumpster!! Do better Republic...people pay you for your services and you guys are not holding up your end! This is absurd we can't count on our trash being picked up! You guys suck!!!
Update. I’ve moved on from Republic Waste Service and wanted to reaffirm my 1 star review. Hands down one of the worst companies I have ever used. Stay clear of this company. I use them for both Yard waste and normal trash pick up. Received my bill in November with a yard waste charge on it which I thought was odd since I didn't believe they do yard waste pick up in the Winter. So I called in and they told me as such, no pick up after November XX...asked that they remove the fee...which the said they cannot do, I'll have to ... read more
