Of the last 20 weeks we have been paying Republic ,they have missed more than 20% of our trash services , not responded to calls or emails. On the one occasion owe did reach someone they did not follow through on anything they said. They also told us that trash pickup is until 6 PM and to call if no one comes..but their customer service lines closes at 5 PM. Hopefully Fairfax pulls their permit for the county.

Over the last month, service has been intermittent for both trash and recycling...no notice that trucks were not coming, the tracking feature on the website is completely bogus, and hey if you come home from work and have an issue, there is no one to call because they shutdown at 5pm. Used to be really good service and reliable. Service is now disappointing.

Absolute worst. Set up service with existing cans from previous homeowner. They made one pickup, then came later in the week, took trash out of the cans and took both cans. As we tried to stop them and explain they refused to leave them. When I called them, they acknowledged it was their fault, but said tough luck we will bring the cans back next week. They refused to bring them back same day so I cancelled. Stay away!

I would give this company -1 stars for their billing and customer service. Called to cancel, got a better rate to continue but their billing/invoice stayed the same. After 4 calls and an escalation to a Customer Service Supervisor who 'assured me the adjustment would be made on the next invoice' and 'there is nothing they can do'....the 3 previous calls also 'assured me' ...so I have no confidence. Their Customer Service is unable and unwilling to accommodate a 17yr customer as their 'have no insight' into the billing. Feels... read more

If you want to spend lots of time on the phone trying to figure out why your trash/yard debris hasn't been picked up, Republic Services is the way to go! They're reliably unreliable!
