Republic Fitness at International Place has everything you could want in a gym: all the equipment you could ever need, new saunas and cold plunge, group classes, low membership fees, never crowded, always clean, and a super friendly staff that creates a sense of community!
I have been going to RF for over 6 months now, and I only have good things to say about this place! The gym is extremely spacious and clean, and the staff is super friendly (special shoutout to Britney, Will, and Marquis for always going above and beyond to make it a welcoming space!). I always recommend RF/HW to my friends, and I'm happy with my experience as a member!
I am a runner. Halfway through my run this morning I needed to go to the bathroom. I was near Republic Fitness so I went in asked them if I could use their restroom. I got a hard “No”. There were three people at the desk without an ounce of empathy between them. I can’t say anything about the equipment or the trainers at this gym but based on the humanity — or lack thereof — of the people running the place I would stay away from it. For those wondering — and that’s everyone— I did manage to run back home and avert disaster.
I cannot express enough positives about this gym. Unlike other contracts, they offer a LOT of alternatives than a typical membership, like paying as you go, even pay just to use the space to meet with their trainer (if you don't need to go there to workout) but if you do, it's cheap for the day and you can even take classes!
