I had my initial consultation with Candice Carter, APRN, and I will say she is absolutely fantastic. She listened to all of our concerns and took a detailed medical history and timeline. I went into this appointment feeling hopeless and lost, I left with a plan and the spark of hope back. Candice made sure the sensitive topics discussed were handled with the delicacy needed and she is so empathic and realistic, exactly what we needed going into this new leg of our journey! I cannot recommend seeing her enough!
Like others have said here I felt no caring and compassion from Candice Carter. During the intake I described what I believed to be a miscarriage to which she nodded, no follow up questions or sympathy, she simply went on to the next question on her list. After going through the full detailed history of me and my partner she said quite bluntly with no lead up or explanation - "We only use donor eggs with women over 42. We can test the viability of your eggs for you but we won't use them." I am sorry but isn't this stringent ... read more
If it was possible to give no stars I would. Rude with no sort of feeling towards folks. People come to these doctors because they can't have a kid without a little help. The fact that you refused to help because of age is appalling. And to add to that they said and I qoute, "there's no way in hell they would let you adopt" is un acceptable. After multiple years of not being taken seriously by multiple specialists , I came to see Maud and she not only took me seriously right away, but started finally finding answers for me. Highly recommend her office and her incredible staff.
If anyone is going to get you pregnant, it’s Dr. Doherty! Staff are all very sweet and informative as well.
