We came into this project knowing what we wanted. The Renovate team saw this and worked well with us on this point. But they also offered up ideas and solutions that improved the overall result. - all that with attention to detail and practiced craftsmanship - The Renovate team did a great job.

A one-star review that Amanda won't be surprised about. We came to them asking if a $150k basement remodel would be possible, they said yes, it wouldn't be a problem, they came back with a project that would cost $250k, so I had to teach them what a budget means. Amanda said that they design to the dream, but what that really means is that they want to charge you twice, once for the plan that's way over budget, then again to cut things... all the while making snide remarks about working with "budget minded clients". We worked with the Renovate team from August 2024 through April 2025 to remodel an old downstairs space in an office and a bathroom slash laundry room. The quality of the finished work was excellent. The timing was lousy. The communication was adequate, as long as we kept asking for info. The “design” assistance was not very helpful, at least for us, and basically slowed down the project. (Two designers have since left; maybe that will help.) There were several mistakes that caused delays : they mismeasured a custom piece of furniture, and had to figure out a workaround; they forgot to order the carpet; they forgot to order hardware for the doors. My wife and I have been on a 18 month journey with Renovate to plan a significant basement remodel which included replacement of the main beam of the house and a dig out of a crawlspace to expand the footprint of the basement.
