I cannot say enough good things about Reno Tahoe Women's Health. From the moment you walk through the door, the experience is exceptional. The front desk staff and nursing staff are consistently professional, welcoming, friendly, and organized. To me, that is always a great sign because it reflects the culture of the entire practice. I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Brooke. She was 20 minutes late to my appointment, and when I was finally seen, the visit lasted under 5 minutes. I came in with significant pain, and I felt my concerns were dismissed without a thorough exam or meaningful discussion. I left still in pain, feeling invalidated and without clear answers or next steps. This was a vulnerable issue to seek care for, and I was hoping to feel heard and supported. I have had three prior IUD insertions over approximately 20 years. The first was performed before pregnancy in a teaching hospital setting with attending supervision. The other two ParaGard IUD replacements were completed by experienced OB/GYN physicians. One involved a “lost” IUD and was still resolved within approximately 10 minutes.
