Get directionsProbably not the most inspiring trail in the area but access to Guthega was restricted when we visited. At times mushy (or rocky to cover the mush). Evidence for feral pigs along the trail. Bird life observations limited to one Grey Shrikethrush, several Crimson Rosellas and the usual Thornbills (mid May visit).
This is not a proper walking track - it's an old access 'road' to a radio repeater. Some people will enjoy it, others won't - depends on your preferences. It can get repetitive although there are views at the end. I only recommend doing it in spring/early summer when the flowers are out.
Could not finish the track, too much snow. All the pity, would have loved it.
Great track, a little slushy after the rain. Some things to note: There are wild Boars on this trail! Snakes are prominent on the trail, you wlll need to wear gaitors. Lovely trail to do at Golden hour. The tower at the end is a cool backdrop. Please, take your rubbish home with you.
