I used what was given me twice as it was tight and uncomfortable. I have issues with my teeth and so, I was concerned that using the mouthpiece would loosen or make things worse. So I stopped using it. For me, it was not a good choice.
We were never greeted or given much detail but like that apnea can be helped without a CPAP
