I utilized Renee Buxton in 2009 and 2010. She was straight forward, knowledgeable of how the McHenry divorce system worked and responsive. I did create three binders ( for the Judge, my attorney, his attorney) of disclosure information so that saved me on cost as they were extremely thorough. Billing was reasonable and kept to a minimum with only responses required to the opposing attorney. I was refunded monies not utilized. I was recognized for recommending future clients. Ghosted me, wasted my time. Do not recommend. At least have a little respect, geez.
If you want a lawyer who is condescending, non communicative, expensive, and distant then Renee Buxton would be a great attorney for you. Don’t expect timely replies to your questions. Expect at least 1 1/2 to 2 years for your divorce and be prepared to do a lot of the negotiating yourself. She can ultimately get the job done, but in our situation, we didn’t end up on top.
I have never dealt with such an unprofessional place. I’m not sure why people who own businesses treat people poorly. If you don’t like what you do and don’t want to do it it’s very simple and leave the job. I had placed a call a week ago after I called them they called back stating that they were returning my call. Received a phone call from Jennifer chappiatta calling back on a call I made a week ago? She was on the phone being very rude, snappy, & didn’t seem like she wanted to talk. Not sure why she called back then? Both her and Megan responded in such an unprofessional manner. Had a couple friends witness this as she called when we were in the car.
