Working with Rene probably cost me a full percent interest on my loan by the time I finally switched lenders, based on his refusal to lock my rate while every indication under the sun, including the Fed’s explicit statements, was that mortgage rates would continue to rise. The only decent thing I can say is that his team was quick to release my appraisal to a more competent lender.
