Reliant is the worst, deceiving, unreliable, untrustworthy and unethical company in the face of the universe. Having been with CP&L, grandfathered (on auto-pay) since 1985 and when I was transferred I was told I would be award with the best deal due to my loyalty with CP&L. While visiting a Sam's Facilty, i encountered a sales rep who did a good job promoting the company but failed miserably when i expressed i did not want a contract (as i am currently on one) but merely researching price comparisons. He assured me i was signing up for a "profile". Also, the price quote was not even remotely close to the contract. Later that evening, i see that i am now a customer.
