I've been with reliant for years. I think since I've moved to Dallas over 10 years ago. A couple of months ago, it was time to renew my contract. The person called with "a deal". It sounded more than my current contract. Mind you, I was driving and busy. I asked if I could review my options and call back, this person faked urgency like this deal was only at this moment. Do not use this unless you want a $500-600 bill every month. For two people who are never home. I'm paying this amount for the appliance to be plugged in, apparently, because that's all that's in my house from morning to evening.

Sheesh, my contract is almost over with and it’s the perfect time for a review. For everyone considering reliant, and what doing business with them may look like; i rent an 800sqft 1 bedroom apartment, and my electric bill is nearly $300 every month. That’s with me unplugging everything before leaving my place, that’s with me and my partner both working full time jobs and hardly ever being home. I have the free nights plan and the bill double what I was paying with Txu energy they seem to try to make up the free energy cost during the day I was on vacation for two weeks and no one in the home hardly any energy being used an still manage to accumulate the same charges as if I was using power everyday. Also $140 charge for oncor fee I wouldn’t recommend them.
