What a blissful experience!
I was genuinely surprised to see this spa win a “Best of Boston” award. As someone who’s been in the spa industry for twenty years, I was excited to experience it firsthand, but it fell flat in every way. The space feels run down and lacks any hint of luxury. I never, ever thought I’d step into a cold plunge. But after hearing much raving about it, I finally gave it a try, starting with a sauna session to warm up. I was coached to shut out the noise and focus on my breath. To my surprise, I stayed in for over three minutes. The exhilaration afterward was incredible, only surpassed by the sensation when re-entering the sauna as warmth and circulation flooded back in. I made an appointment for my husband and son to enjoy Father's Day together at Release. I specifically worked with the front desk to ensure my family would not be assigned to a particular masseuse, even going so far as to change our appointment time to avoid this situation. The representative I spoke with confirmed that my family would not be aligned with this person. I took my son today. It was a beautiful mother son event. Love this place. It’s so clean. The staff is wonderful and the cold plunge’s are invigorating.
