Release Recovery was a genuinely helpful, caring, and non-abusive environment in my experience. Compared with long-term treatment programs, I think a place like Release should often be the first line of defense: more grounded, more humane, and more effective for many people. The staff made the difference. Steve D’Antonio is a great man and someone I believe can be trusted. Arturo was also excellent, and Leonard especially stood out to me as amazing — brilliant, cultured, thoughtful, and genuinely helpful. I felt that many of... read more

Release Recovery was an integral part of improving my behavior and mental health. I arrived in June 2021 and spent nearly 10 months in the program, living at both of the Westchester men's transitional living facilities. What stood out to me right away was that many of the staff members were in recovery themselves or had been personally affected by addiction and mental health challenges. When I need help navigating the world of marathons, endurance sport, and media, Release and Grace are always there!! Keep going. Constant forward motion.

A gay client sexually harassed me and when I asked why he wouldn’t stop he told me “I know you secretly like it” he then proceeded to tell a class of people that i am manipulative and a bad person because i told my therapist i was being sexually harassed. He was not kicked either, he was simply moved to a different room. I was bullied by most ... read more

I want to thank release for giving me the space and the in depth programming to allow me to learn how to get and stay sober when I first got into recovery. Blake, Caryn, Nadine, Mario, and many more were essential to showing me a path forward. Release is unlike many other programs that you will see out there and thanks to them I am just over 2 years sober now. - Keep Going. Lucas P.
