Glad I knew about Urgent Care – I recently had some problems with my left ankle after I fell done from riding my bike. When I went into Urgent Care I was very happy with how nice and clean the place was. The staff and customer service in front were very nice and professional. I explained the problem I was having and they looked at my swelled ankle. I was seen by a Doctor shortly after and did a full examination on my right ankle. Thankful to not go to the E.R.! – My family and I just moved to the Fishhawk area a couple of weeks ago. During the move, our seven year old slipped and hit his head on the fireplace, then fell awkwardly on his arm. Naturally, my wife and I were in a panic. Our first instinct was to go the the E.R., but one of the movers informed us of the Urgent Care around the corner from our home. Horrible experince – the recommendation for a sinus infection was to go to and emergency room, and thank you for your co pay, then, shorted my co pay by ten dollars and made a collection call for it!!!!!, absolutly should not be call urgent care for anyone. Cold receptionist, and doctor.
TORTUROUS "CARE" – One doctor in particular has NO bed-side manners. This is our second encounter w/ him at this Urgent Care facility. He is definitely NOT a people person. He is abrupt, shows no empathy & made NO effort whatsoever to put my child at ease - very cold personality. Fish Hawk Urgent Care – The facility is decent, there are clues that they are still updating here and there. The waiting room is fairly small but this place doesn't seem to get more than 2 or 3 people waiting at a time. The receptionist comes off as a little flakey. She speaks in a very quickly and condescending manner. I felt like I was a burden to her just for showing up. I first went there for a knee injury back in early December.
