It is a sober house. In the 10 months I lived there a dozen people were there and gone. Some for relapse, others because the house manager doesn't like colored people. The neighbor kids were always in the backyard, neighbors fighting while high, I never knew what fentanyl smelled like til I lived there. Julian and Doug don't like to deal with money. M y probation officer had a hard time getting a phone answer with a vague response

This place is Garbage, everyone is high or drunk. Doug the owner is a pile.

I came to rejuvenate homes looking for a safe sober living environment almost a year ago. My mistake. Would not recommend at all. You would be better off taking your money and going to a place that actually cares about the residents. During my stay I found early on mice run free. They tried to control the situation to no avail. They claim to hold the residents accountable, however multiple times people had money/personal items stolen from their rooms and nobody was held accountable. Our son moved into the 449 House in St. Paul in late October 2018 on the recommendation from his counselor. We had never heard of the concept of "sober group home living" prior to this. We needed a space for our son to stay to participate in his after care plan. After a couple quick calls & emails to Doug, I just "Gave it to God," having no clue what we were walking in to. Rooms are clean, updated kitchen, great house manager right now, the two living area are nice, extremely affordable for getting own room. Location feels safe. If you don't have a car it's somewhat out of the way but not terrible. If you have a car honestly, its great...
