Love Pastrami sandwiches! This one is just the meat and cheese and served cold. Also, tried the potato pancakes with sour cream those were good but just warmed not hot. Loved the pickles! Loved the mushroom barley soup! They have a big menu with lots of sandwiches! I’d like to go again to have a chopped liver sandwich!
Fun NY style deli, true to the name. The pickles are interesting, they didn't taste like pickles. But the sandwiches were great. They have a large menu, something for everyone. I recommend you get a side with your sandwich as the sandwiches aren't big and they have delicious sides. Close to the highway, plenty of parking, easy in and out.
I think that we were spoiled when we visited LA Fabrique in Quebec (Best Pastrami I've ever had! Three choices of fat content, sliced to order, thick and served warm). Reins pastrami is thin and sliced cold. Potato pancakes are also seved cold. Flavor was fine. I'm glad we checked out this Connecticut institution.
