My son is 15 and he's special needs. He was really excited about becoming a JR firefighter. He was told he is one, until that didn't know for to handle him. We were made feel like we were a burden. Today we were told he could be in a parade, but then he was told no . For him not understand everything but it's not fair for him to be treated like less than a person. I thought everybody was supposed to be included. But today and before we felt like we were just Outsiders and a burden.
