Confirmed that store is closing Jan 8 (see pic) Unfortunately I just think there are way more competitors that are offering better pricing . For example, I found north face freedom ski pants online for $66 in my size (Amazon) but I saw today in REI they are selling for full price ($200) As of today 1/2/26, I don’t see that great of store closing sales. Such big store. Such little selection for kids, so many people, such little help.
I went to the Paramus location to return an item that is clearly eligible under REI’s return policy, and what should have been a simple process turned into an awful and humiliating experience. The manager, Steven, was completely unhelpful from the start. Not only did he refuse to process the return, he wouldn’t clearly explain why he was denying it.
