Great place for outdoor gear. Very clean, and safe shopping. Boot and shoe department staff are very helpful. Also, Joe was very knowledgeable and helpful in selecting a new backpack! Summer shoes ( e.g. Keene's ) are on sale if you can find your size.
Staff in the shoe section are wonderful! They were so knowledgeable and incredibly patient, as I tried to figure out which trail runners work for me. So grateful for their advice!
Sold me a replacement shock cord for REI brand tent poles. Even though I brought the original cord and poles with me, what they sold me was much too thick and didn't fit the poles. Didn't realize until I got home--trusted the guy who sold it to me, so that's on me. I'm super annoyed at having to drive all the way back there on my day off to fix such a dumb mistake. Seriously tempted to just make REI refund the whole tent. Plan to shop at OGE from now on.
