Never shopping REI again. Altra shoes suck, I'll bet hiking boots from Walmart last londer. I spent over $150 on them last fall and after a couple hikes, they are falling apart, less 25 miles and REI tells me to buy a new pair. Sounds like a great deal for them and the environment.

Edit: After more than a year away, I’ve slowly started using them again. They never apologized and I did end up using other places. There’s just no need to hold onto grudges forever, especially since I’ve gotten a lot of good things from this place and every other experience has been great. Staff is friendly. But, everything is just way too expensive. Even regular sunglasses are $30. I went on Amazon, got almost the exact same sunglasses, 3 for $20 plus a hat haha. All the other items from clothing to boots are just way overpriced. I think we are done with this store and maybe will only go on the "garage sale" days.

Only been here once to buy a bike but they were extremely helpful and went out of their way to work with me.
