BEWARE REI SCAM!!! This backhanded company is trying to take your cash and turn it to their reward points. Keep close eyes on bank statements after returns. I've had several issues where this scummy business does not refund the full cash amount but rather refunds a portion in rei points, silently converting US cash to their currency. Store employees will tell you that the full amount is being refunded to you. They are lying.
Had such a great experience at REI Santa Barbara today (Sunday). Huge thank you to Mario (Store Manager) and Maci, who were both incredibly professional, kind, and patient. They really went the extra mile to problem-solve a tricky situation and made the whole process smooth and stress-free. This store is fantastic—great selection, well organized, and the team truly cares. And of course… it’s REI, so you already know the quality is there. Highly recommend!
Worthwhile to go inside the store and physically view items.. Unfortunately the price on stuff is 50%-300% higher in store vs online. Damn shame because I hate to shop online, but it seems like it's being forced upon us these days...
My wife and I stopped here on our way home on our anniversary trip. We live down the freeway so I’ve never been into this REI, but I’ve always wanted to go visit it. I actually have a goal to visit every REI in the US. I don’t know if I’ll ever get there. I was really impressed at how big this REI is for being in Santa Barbara.
