Daryl in shoes is THE MAN!!! Great service, super helpful, and kind personality with a good sense of humor! We both got a pair of shoes! This guy provides the kind of customer service that used to be the standard! He is awesome! REI is great! Much better than Whirlpool. We bought a new washing machine from them and it broke after 22 months!!! Do not buy Whirlpool products. Do buy REI products! LIFE IS GOOD!!!
Most of the staff here are genuinely very nice. The cashier was great, and even an older staff member went above and beyond to help. I stopped by to check out some jackets, and there was a bald Caucasian man with glasses folding clothes. He didn’t make eye contact the whole time and just gave the standard, “Hi, let me know if you need anything,” which I found a bit odd — because he wasn’t even looking at us. Went to look for a new jacket. Took one off the rack to see what the price was. 80 decibel screech left ears ringing for the next few hours. Never going back into an REI store ever again.
