Great store for your outdoor clothing and gear needs. There is not bad weather only for clothing choices. With REI you can stay dry if it's wet., cool if it's hot and warm if it's cold outside. They REI has a great return policy especially if you are a member. REI has very experienced people in the camp section of the store. Most aggressive sales staff I think I've ever interacted with at an outdoors store. I don't want a membership card, just let me pay and go home man, damn. It's clear the managers are pushing hard for this. Unpleasant.
Don’t buy from REI. You’re better off buying directly from the manufacturer website. The manufacturers have discount codes and REI does not honor them. A good example is Patagonia. The typically have 15% coupon codes. Also, REI has terrible customer service. If you call you will get an agent but all they can do is take down your concern and pass it on. They say you’ll get an email with a resolution but you never do.
