I want to give a shoutout to Kathy for outstanding customer service at REI Dublin. I went in close to closing time looking for hiking boots for a trip the next day. I had researched a few options beforehand, but after discussing what I needed, Kathy recommended a different pair. I decided to trust her expertise and I’m so glad I did. The boots fit perfectly and held up beautifully on a 10-mile hike in snow and ice (with spikes) the very next day. Good location, helpful and conscientious staff. Used to be 5 stars, they decided to stop carrying 1 gallon coleman white gas. I'm not paying 17usd for a quart of naptha, no matter how aggressive the marketing! I used to shop here because it was a one-stop place. No more! They told me to try Ace Hardware, thank you so much! Even though I bought my MSR dragonfly at this very location, I'll be going anywhere else for my camping stuff from now on.
Just reminding myself of never coming back to this place again because one of the staff was very rude and not dog friendly.
Horrible customer service. Have been visiting this store over the years and have seen considerable decline in customer service lately. Looks like all employees are disgruntled here. Need to consider other options.
I come here due to it being the closet REI but always had bad customer experience. They don’t even put your things in bag, excuse given is they are being environment friendly. I wonder if businesses would ever care about customer experience anymore as everything is just about money and cost cutting
