My customer service experience was the best I have ever experienced in my life. Tristan was my first helper, and tried on about 7 different shoes with him and decided to check out another store. (That ended horribly) so we came back. Warning: Call before you go...I took my Isinwheel electric bike for my grandson to REI since I live close by. I walked it in and up to the repair counter. The 'repair tech' was about 20 feet away, in view, working on another bike. I stood there for about 3 minutes and had to get his attention. He walked to the counter without a greeting or "welcome to REI" and I told him of my issue of the battery not holding a charge. He asked what brand it was and I replied 'Isinwheel'. The bike shop doesn't actually work on ebikes. They say they do, and if you call and explain exactly what you need they'll say "come on in", but when you get there they'll explain that it's impossible for them to source parts for any bike they don't make or sell. Jeff is especially unpleasant and frankly strangely hostile. I know employees are told to try and sell store branded bikes, but I don't think that means that members who have other bikes should be treated poorly.
