Calls themselves a “camping store” but contains almost no camping gear (including what they say they have in-store online). The one or two camping products do you manage to find in small baskets (seemingly used as decoration for their endless supply of designer “outdoors” jackets) are sure to ridiculously overpriced and of poor quality. Edit March ‘25 - I heard this place is closing, good riddance! No tears shed.
This place is a cult and customer service is as disrespectful as it comes. I came here to get my skis serviced, the man at the counter asked if I'd like to make some $35 donation and get a lifetime discount at REI. I politely declined, but then he began groveling for the better part of 5 minutes, begging me to reconsider and "think about how it benefits the outdoors and the kids etc". Craig at the bike shop was so helpful with my road bike repair. He not only made the repair, but let me watch and explained what he was doing. Note this REI is a small store with limited inventory.
