Thought it is a big two story store. But not anymore. Lack of product variety. Very disappointed
We’ve been longtime REI members, shop consistently with our REI Rewards CC. We are big outdoor enthusiasts and have always enjoyed shopping at various REI locations. The atmosphere has consistently been welcoming, and we’ve always felt free to browse, ask questions, and enjoy the experience without pressure. Unfortunately, our experience at this particular location did not reflect that same standard. Visited Carlsbad REI to grab some new gear for an upcoming camping trip yesterday. I've been a co-op members for several years now, but I've never felt uncomfortable in a store before. I'm a black woman and I definitely got the impression that I was being watched as I wandered through the store.
