I've been out of rehab now for about two weeks and not a day goes by that I don't think about the people that work there. My first night I woke in a great deal of pain. Two angels walked in and took care of me, amazing! Sadly I didn't get their names. From that time forward it just got better and better. Brenda, Denise, Danielle, Scott, Pam, Jess and Kevin were part of the nursing staff that worked with me everyday, just amazing people! I entered R.H. of R.I. The evening of January 3, 2019. After several spine surgeries, I became paralyzed from the ribs down to my toes. As I entered the RH of RI I was greeted by a night nurse and the night CNAs. I felt safe in their care so quickly. My intake nurse was very comforting and told me everything I needed to know about my daily schedule and the team of people who would care for me. Facility was clean. Staff was fantastic from check-in. Everyone from my case, manager to each individual therapist, occupational, as well as physical or professional and courteous, and treated me with a dignity that I needed to help me recover as quickly as I did. They listened to any concerns I had met me halfway whenever possible. The nursing staff was never intrusive or overbearing and nothing but polite. I cannot say enough good things about my stay. My stay here was more than an exceptional with the staff, showing their kindness, experience and helpfulness. Their knowledge on Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and more was very helpful and a new learning experience for me. I am more than grateful for the staff there. Tho I was away from my family and friends I never truly felt alone with all the kindness they showed me. This is a very well maintained building, the cleanliness was very well kept up with daily. I spent 10 days at RHRI after breaking my shoulder. I knew nothing about the facility but felt I hit the jackpot being sent there. I can't say enough about the nurses, aids, and especially the PT and OT team. It's because of the time they spent with me that I am now doing very well at home. I would definitely recommend RHRI to anyone in need of a rehab.
