Seems to me if a doctor suspects you have a fracture in your back, an imaging center would get the patient seen so the patient can be treated. That's not the case here. This facility wants upwards of $800 before they will even see you (after an insurance discount). Now I'm stuck with pain and no answers - thanks to the corporate greed that has infiltrated the medical field. Unacceptable!
This MRI is much larger than others. It is loud, but loud does not bother me. Being in one of the small tin cans does. The people were nice and helpful. I recommend this over others. Even Duke and UNC do not have the larger MRI's. This is the only one in Eastern NC that I could find. Think VA is next closest.
I have always made it through each MRI because my husband would sit at my feet and rub my ankles to help relax me. This last time the tech refused to let him come in with me. She said it something about the new machine, which is louder than the last one. I guess I will have to find a new place to have my MRI's done
Very nice place to go for a MRI if you have to have one and especially if you are claustrophobic as I am.
