I'm writing this review after almost a year after my wife gave birth under the care of Dr. Whitfield. Sometimes feelings subside after time so I didn't want to quickly write a review but I am writing this review with the hope of helping at least one family avoid a similar situation. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Whitfield as an Obgyn and had a terrible experience with my birth. I felt like my patient rights were violated and even very basic things in my birth plan were ignored or straight up refused. In the end I was forced into a procedure that I had denied in writing and orally that ended in wound failure, incontinence, and reconstructive surgery and now I'm disfigured. This doctor has nice bedside manner, but could care less about what time your appointments are. My last 3 appointments that I have had with this doctor this year took way too much of my time. On my last appointment I took off work and arrived 30 minutes early to my appointment. I waited in the exam room for an entire hour. I left the clinic at 4pm with nothing.
