Today is August 25th and I have seen a young Black male in the lobby vomiting bile, refused medication and a bed. He is in excruciating pain and they have not given him any medical attention. I spoke with the charge nurse, Shelley, and she said that they had no open beds but I saw open beds on my way back from the cafeteria and told her. She said she was short on staff. I love the people in this hospital. I had a colonoscopy exam this morning, and I will never forget how nice and professional the nurse was. She had a friendly conversation with me to learn about my medication history, and the most touching part was that she consistently showed care for my feelings and safety after the procedure.
