My MIL was there when it was Regency and it was a great place. As soon as Excel took over it went completely down hill. It is so bad that my MIL platelets dropped to 25. For a woman her age it should have been approx 200 or higher. They tried to tell us that was normal for her age. Their own specialist said it should be 200. They didn't let us know this for weeks, even though my wife visited there every week. They told us she wasn't eating because she couldn't swallow. Our family used to love Regency Grande both for rehab and residential care. It isn't the same anymore with ExcelCare, it has really gone down hill. The floors have hired nurses from an agency. The maintenance is also lacking. peeling paint, carpet stains, never used to be like that. So sad.
Worst place ever. They kept my mom in quatine for over 14 days. Didn't giver her physic therapy and theaten to kick her out after not even teach her how to do the stairs. She has to appeal her own stuff. Horrible horrible place. Let her sit in her own pee for over 6 hrs. Made her get and infection. Gave her the romate to the bed where she almost fell out of the bed. They are under staff. If you want you loved one to be neglected send them there
My father was well taken care of and made as comfortable as possible during his rapid decline. The staff was warm and kind and treated him with respect and dignity. I highly recommend this facility.
5 star facility with caring staff! Highly recommended!
