The food was good and the band was lovely. We had a reservation, but when we asked to sit at a table near the window, they said no, but then no one ever sat at that able or any nearby as we were there throigh closing lol. Service was extremely slow, our server was sarcastic and would tease us when we asked for anything such as a steak knife or to bring soup out first. Always a favorite to enjoy Sunday Brunch at The Regency Room. Each time there are many options to choose from including breakfast items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and sausage gravy, fruit, yogurt and other items you would expect. There is a nice selection of lunch items including a prime rib carving station, award winning peanut soup, she-crab soup, oysters on the half shell, salads and other entrees. While staying at the Roanoke Hilton, I had dinner at The Regency. I went in the restaurant during the dinner hour and told I’d have a 20- 30 minute wait. I told the receptionist my blood sugar was dropping. She expressed concern, told me have a seat and she’d see what she could do. About fifteen minutes later, Diane called me to be seated. We were able to stay at the Hotel Roanoke, while we were there we visited the Regency room for dinner. The ambiance when you walk in is very inviting. Our hostess was very attentive & lovely to converse with. Nick, our server was great and really seemed to know the menu well. We also had the pleasure of hearing the Jazz trio that plays on Saturday nights We will definitely return in the future.
