Love Dr. Rees! I had my post op appointment today and, unfortunately, I won't see him again. He was great!!
Stay away. We were hesitant to go to him based on his review rate but he had 1st availability so we took the appointment. There is a reason his reviews aren't good. Just an unsympathetic horrible bedside manner and we left with no answers. On one of the previous reviews was almost the exact experience we had. Just stay away.
I scheduled this appointment several weeks in advance and was notified only the day before that it was being canceled because Dr. Reese was not comfortable managing a JP drain. JP drains are routine in general surgery, and this raises significant concern regarding the scope of care being offered. Given this limitation, it was appropriate for the appointment to be canceled, as I would not feel confident receiving care from a provider who is unwilling or unable to manage a common postoperative device.
The is the first time I have ever put in a review for a Dr. but I needed to do this in order to possibly help another person be prepared for his, lack of bedside manner or have the opportunity to change surgeons prior to wasting your time with this one! Dr Rees saved my life and I can’t thank him enough for his care and compassion in taking care of his patients both before and after surgery. Excellent bedside manner and genuinely concerned for the very well being of his patients. Excellent physician.
