There is already a lot of uncertainty with abnormal mammograms, but then the heightened awareness of follow-ups including an ultrasound, then an MRI is a must, fear finds a way of creeping in. Ultimately, a biopsy was recommended. Praying has always been what I know and believe. So glad I met this team! They were truly God sent! Learning that a mammogram shows a lump was scary. Dr. Karavattuveetil was patient and reassuring. She explained that, for most patients, this small of a lump would be on the "wait and see" list. She wanted me to have the biopsy due to my family history of breast cancer (mom & sister). I appreciate her having reassured me and having answered all my questions.
