This luxe boutique hotel in Gruyere (Yarra Valley region) was a pleasant impromptu overnight stay (impulsively booked a couple days prior for a quiet weekend away). I believe I may have nabbed the last available room as there are only 16 guest rooms & believed I secured one of their 'standard' rooms as the fancier ones had already been snapped up. Beautiful location and the food was delicious. Booked a lunch at Re'em restaurant, very nice decor and overlooking the winery ground and beautiful lake/pound with the fountain. The food was Asian influenced which is rather unique to find in the winery restaurants. The service was excellent too, the staff were friendly and very attentive. A lovely experience overall. Highly recommended.
The experience I had with my friends and partner was not the best HOWEVER the service we revived post this was great. A manager touched base with us due to our unpleasant time and apologies for this, whilst taking action to rectify the situation. I was very pleased with how this was handled and thus have decided to update my review. Thank you.
Accommodation is amazing with sweeping views of a beautiful pond and vineyards. Generous sized rooms with beautiful cabinetry and plenty of storage for your stay. Gorgeous bathrooms to relax and enjoy a vino or two in the bath. Dinner however is definitely worth the value. Set menu and definitely did not disappoint. Wines are amazing. 11 stars out of 10 for a weekend away.
While we initially had an adverse experience, the team was very quick to address our issues and restore our faith. We are excited to come back and do another wine tasting here. Top location too, great for a wedding venue.
